Memorable evening at the Law Society of England and Wales supporting BMLAWEEK

The Arab Lawyers Association, as a founding member of the Bilateral and Multilateral Law Associations Network, was proud to show its support at the Network's recent reception, held at the Law Society of England and Wales as part of BMLAWEEK.

BMLAWEEK is an initiative organised by the Bilateral and Multilateral Law Associations Network, which brings together law associations and law societies from across the legal profession to promote collaboration, dialogue and mutual support. The ALA is pleased to be a founding member of the Network and remains committed to its mission of unity and togetherness.

The evening began with warm introductory remarks from Seye, curator and co-host of the event, and from Mark Evans, President of the Law Society of England and Wales. Both speakers reflected on the importance of cross-association collaboration and the role that networks such as this play in strengthening the global legal community. This was followed by a lively drinks reception, bringing together representatives from a wide range of law associations and law societies for meaningful professional exchange and conversation.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to build new connections, share perspectives and explore areas of common interest across different legal traditions and jurisdictions. The ALA was delighted to be represented and to engage with fellow member associations.

Thank you to Seye and the Law Society of England and Wales for hosting a wonderful event. We are also grateful to the wider Network for its continued commitment to fostering unity and collaboration across the legal profession.

At a time when the value of dialogue and cooperation across regions is more important than ever, we look forward to continuing to support the Network’s mission of unity, collaboration, and stronger ties between legal communities.
